The GPS in my Fusion has never worked great, it usually gets me where I need to go. Although it doesn't usually go the fastest route, and it doesn't seem to know where all the roads are. I still like to use it rather than my phone because of the convenience. The GPS has directed me to drive down a footpath, take an exit that isn't there anymore, go across a bridge that was torn down & doesn't recognize the location of a few major interstates. I really want the GPS in my car to be able to tell me where I need to go, but Ford doesn't automatically update the GPS map.
When I bought the car, I assumed that the GPS would update itself. That doesn't appear to be the case. The map update from Ford (which may not be any better) is $150. Has anyone found an alternative to the ford navigation map updates? Pc auto shutdown software.
April 18, 2005. Never heard of expedition, but deckman is pretty sweet. I've seen it on several share sites with a crack. No need to buy it.
For $150 I could buy a Garmin that will update for free.
