Hey everyone, i searched the forums but couldn't find much about this, so i thought i'd post up. I have a 12 inch sub and amp that I want to put in my 2002 C240 using the factory headunit. I am going to check with a few local shops to see how much they would charge to install it. Would I need any adapters or any additional hardware to get this thing hooked up? One shop that I spoke with today said that Mercedes cars are wired up with fiber optics and it was going to cost over $350 just to install it. I think I read somewhere that only the higher end audio packages (bose?) or newer w203s use fiber optic wires.

What's the scoop? How much would you consider to be a fair price for the installation alone? Thanks Eric P.S. If I missed a thread about this, please pass the link on and delete this post.

They tap it into the rear speakers and use a converter for the RCA to the amp+1 I have a 12' L7 with a hiphonics amp. They charged me 300 for the installation and it turned out fine. The only problem was that my license plate screws started to come out from teh bass hitting soo hard. I thought that was a good thing (kinda telling me that my sub is doing its job) but then i had to replace the screw.

Quick report for delphi xe2 professional learning manual. You still got those JL's? They were pretty good werent they?? I dont know though, you kinda lose the whole german sport feel for the gangster wrapper feel with a system kickin though. Hahah Remember the system from my jeep, I was going to put that in my trunk but I didnt want to have to replace the back windshield every weekend hahah who knows summer is comming up and maybe I will just go for it haha but I am also dreading anything ratteling on a benz due to a system. For sure It feels and looks like the plate holder/frame in the trun would rattle like a mofo Hit me up bro You missed a huge party for superbowl haha. For sure It feels and looks like the plate holder/frame in the trun would rattle like a mofo Yeah that is what I was thinking.

Mercedes W203 Subwoofer Install

If I had the system installed I'd also have a kill switch installed so i'd have the option on whether the subs were receiving power or not. I still can't decide, it just bothers me that I have two boxs sitting in my garage & I have no clue what to do with them. I don't know if I want to install them, take them with me to NC or just get rid of them. If it wasn't a b*tch to sell parts I would just get rid of them and use the money elsewhere.
